Genius loci
The house is rented as an entire property and offers accommodation for up to 12 friends in four bedrooms.
It is located in the heart of the UNESCO Geopark, beneath the sacred Celtic site of Mount Kozakov. The house was built using traditional methods with maximum respect for the environment, modern design trends, and guest comfort. All materials are as local as possible, and the craftsmen were local as well. The doors, windows, staircase and furniture are made of solid larch wood, which is said to bring harmony to body and soul and to help in resolving difficult life situations.
In front of the chalet stands a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Kozakov. Like the chalet itself, it was designed by architect Ing. J. Klimeš. The Madonna is an original sculpture by master artist Miroslav Lauschmann. The Mother of God stands directly on Mount Kozakov; when modelling the terrain, the sculptor used minerals found at the foot of the mountain. The ensemble is complemented by another work of art — a wrought-iron grille in the style of Baroque illusionism, forged by Mr. David Skrbek, a master of the blacksmith’s guild.
